Biodiversity Fellow Valentine Bouju joins the lab
The Farrell Lab warmly welcomes Valentine Bouju to the lab!
Valentine joins us as an MCZ Biodiversity Fellow. She is a paleoentomologist fascinated by amber and the arthropods and plants enclosed within it. Valentine specializes in the study of fossilized insects, mostly ants and dipterans, as well as cryptogam plants such as liverworts. Her driving focus is to contribute to the inventory of palaeobiodiversity, to describe new species, and to track the morphological evolution of species.
At the MCZ, she is investigating the Miocene amber from the Dominican Republic, through the historical collection of ant inclusions.
