Paige Kouba

Undergraduate Student, Class of 2016

Paige KoubaPaige Kouba is an undergraduate lab assistant interested in mosquito diversity and ecology. Her research is focused on the mosquito populations in and around Boston, particularly in the Boston Harbor Islands (as an adjunct to the 2005-2008 All-Taxa Biodiversity Inventory) and the Arnold Arboretum. Last summer, she worked with Bentley Professor Tony Kiszewski to conduct preliminary surveys on Thompson Island, finding nine species, including the tree-hole-dwelling Aedes hendersoni. She plans to broaden her surveys of Thompson Island and expand the project to other sites for comparison of species richness and diversity.
