Digitization of fossils uncovers pre-WWII loan

Ricardo recently traveled to Germany to hand-carry a returning loan of 383 specimens, 40 of which were type specimens. What makes such a seemingly mundane task so intriguing? This pre-WWII loan was from the Königsberg Amber Collection, much of which was lost during the war.
